The market of SATellite COMmunication (SATCOM) is ever pushing the limits of connectivity for earthly users, as well as optimising the energy needs of the involved infrastructure. This market is squeezed between the telecommunication (telco) market and the space industry and is very dynamic, not least because of the current push to deploy Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites.
FADO is focused on wireless beaming: both towards modern methods of beam steering/forming/scanning, and towards cases as Inter-Satellite Links (ISLs). We develop the firmware needed to make these concepts work. This particular field is very much in flux, and we are uniquely positioned between university-R&D and business logic to serve those markets.
